Invisalign (Plaque Treatment)
No metal or ceramic brackets are used.
Custom-made, clear trays (aligners) are worn on the teeth.
Each tray is typically used for about 1–2 weeks before moving to the next stage.
Advantages:
Aesthetic (almost invisible).
Removable when desired (for eating or brushing).
More comfortable.
Disadvantage:
Ineffective if not worn consistently (should be worn approximately 20–22 hours a day).
May not be sufficient on its own for very severe crowding.
Generally more expensive than other methods.
