Porcelain crowns are a restorative method applied to restore both aesthetics and function, especially in teeth with significant material loss. These crowns usually have a metal substructure, over which porcelain is layered and then applied to the tooth. Due to their high durability, they are often preferred for posterior teeth where chewing forces are greater. However, if high aesthetic expectations are required in the anterior region, alternatives such as zirconium or E-max may be considered. With proper care, porcelain crowns can be used comfortably for many years without problems.
