- Milk Tooth Canal / Amputation

When deep cavities reach the nerve tissue of a primary tooth, pulpectomy or amputation is performed to save the tooth without extraction. In pulpectomy, the infected nerve tissue is completely removed, and the canal is filled with special filling materials. Amputation, on the other hand, involves removing only the nerve tissue in the crown while preserving the root. Both procedures aim to maintain the child’s natural tooth structure in the mouth for as long as possible.
